‘In Transition’ is a poetic and metaphorical approach in which concepts of migration, womanhood and resistance together with identity and dreams are intertwined through the act of knitting with an indirect dialogue between two women who have never met. They attempt to self-position and to explore their roots and to find the higher meaning of life. 'In Transition' is produced in centennial year of Finnish independency critically addressing position of women with Middle Eastern roots in Finland.

Through this artistic research I aim to produce multiple art productions thoroughly focused on femininity, body, identity and its complex hybridity related to migration and embodiments in contemporary art. One of my work objectives is to create spaces for experiments to alternate forms of relationships between individuals and society through contemporary art. Art can act as catharsis and transforms parts of existing realties and experiences for possible discussion with power of convertibility and mobility of the meanings in society. My aim is to initiate methods within contemporary art to bridge from individual perception to the social perception by creating spaces for dialogue.
